The Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin Library is currently
involved with three main projects:
1. Basic preservation - Researching, gathering,
cataloguing, and copying
materials that are unknown, fragile or scarce;
Planning for a facility to
house them properly; And finally, to make
them easily available.
Right now we are still gathering and organizing
materials. We are also
seeking information about calligraphies, poetry
and other works in
individual's homes or shrine rooms so a complete
catalogue can be made.
2.Transcribing audio tapes that have not been available
and publishing
material from those efforts; Some of you have
been involved with this
already by checking or transcribing material
for a book on Mahamudra, a
project begun by the Regent before his death.
The editing for this has
begun.
3. An oral history project has been in progress
for some time whereby
people's stories and recollections are being
taped. These are to be made
available in some form. If you would like
to participate either with your
own experiences, or as an interviewer, please
email Joseph Parent.
