Cortez Rainey

Cortez, Great Dharma Ocean of Perfect Joy, is the Shambhala Training Resident Director of the Baltimore Shambhala Centre and serves on the centre's Executive Committee and Council. He holds a masters degree from Morgan State University. Cortez is employed at the detention center in Baltimore, where he has worked in a variety of positions since the late 1970's: he was the Director of Research and Statistics, Maryland Division of Pretrial Detention and Services (1999); Deputy Director of Central Records (1999); Corrections Planner (1992); Vocational Training Coordinator (1988); and Work Release Counselor (1983).
