WILLEM KUIJPERS
Co-Representative of Shambhala Europe
Willem was appointed CFO of Shambhala Europe in 2006. He is the former Director of the Shambhala Meditation Centre Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
He graduated as an Economist specialized in Economic Development and International Cooperation. He worked for United Nations, the World Bank, the European Commission and various national Ministries for Development Cooperation in many countries in Latin-America, Africa and Asia. In 1994 he was appointed Director of Finance of an applied scientific economic research institute linked to the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He retired in 2005. Willem’s refuge name is Söpa Serri (Patience, Gold Mountain)
