PATRICIA ULLMAN HAYWARD

Executive Director of Dorje Denma Ling

Patricia's Shambhala name, Noble Lady (Tib: Jomo), was given to her by the Druk Sakyong. She was appointed Director of Dorje Denma Ling in Nova Scotia in December 2005. Prior to that time, she was the director of Practice and Education at Dechen Choling for six years and taught Warrior Assemblies, Sutrayana Seminaries and other programs there, as well as traveling extensively throughout Europe directing Buddhist and Shambhala programs. She was also one of the Sakyong's secretaries in Europe. Patricia was the resident director of Shambhala Training in Washington, DC during the 1990's and founded that centre's Bodhi School. She holds a law degree from Dalhousie University and practiced law and mediation in Halifax during the 1980's. Patricia lives in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia with her husband Jeremy, and has two grown children, Michael Bandak and Anna Weinstein.
