Amy Conway
Chair of the Governance as Path Working Group
Amy is the Executive Director of Northern California Shambhala which consists of centres in Berkeley, Davis, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Sonoma as well as five meditation groups located throughout the greater Bay Area. She worked in the Programs Department at Karmê Chöling (2001-2002). She is a trainer for Smoking Cessation counselors and health care professionals with Kaiser Permanente (1998-present). Amy holds a Master of Public Health from Tulane University and studied in the honors program of the University of Madrid, Spain. She was the Project Manager for Tobacco Prevention and Cessation, Kaiser Permanente (1998-2004; Health Educator in HIV and Women's Health Kaiser Permanente (1995-1998); and evaluation consultant for HIV prevention NGO in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (1995). Her bodhisattva name is Jigme Monlam, Fearless Aspiration.
