Becoming a parent opens up new opportunities to work with emotion, time, and "off the cushion" practice. The Shambhala playgroup is an informal gathering that welcomes parents and children to visit and informally share
their experiences of bringing mindfulness practice into parenting.
We meet with the intention of forming community and helping each other to view parenting as practice and path, especially during periods when formal sitting practice is compromised. We envision laughter, listening, tips, tissues, favorite books, and shared stories to form the foundation of this community.
Newborn babies through pre-school children are welcome to attend. Please bring one or two toys for children to share during play.
