Monthly Dorje Kasung talk and discussion. Everyone is warmley invited to attend.
"Dorje Kasung" means the indestructible protector of the dharma teachings.
"Victory over War", a Dorje Kasung motto, represents the struggle with the three mental poisons identified by the Buddha: passion, aggression, and ignorance. "Victory" is being fully present and meeting these poisons with insight and loving kindness. Nonaggression is nurtured by regular sitting meditation and through study and practice of the dharma teachings.
These talks will include short readings and contemplations of these teachings that awaken experience of victory over war. These profound teachings were given by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.
