Sacred Path: Golden Key
with Emily Bower
December 14 / 7:00 PM - December 16 / 6:00 PM
In this culmination of the Shambhala Sacred Path program, we will learn to access the richness inherent in our experience of the world.
Drawing wisdom from The Letter of the Golden Key, a Shambhala root text that addresses our relationship to the material world and our sense perceptions, we will learn the practice of enriching presence—the ability to instantly sense the inner wealth within ourselves, phenomena and the natural world.
Acharya Emily Bower started practicing in the Shambhala community in 1987, the year that Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche passed away. She met Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in 1991, when he came to teach in Berkeley, CA, where she was living at the time. She became his student then and has served as his editor for various projects including his first book, Turning the Mind into an Ally. She has studied kyudo with Kanjuro Shibata Sensei and she is a lifelong member of the Dorje Kasung. In 1991, she joined the staff of Karme Choling, where she lived for three years. She is currently traveling and teaching at Shambhala Centers--with no fixed address for the time being.
