Authentic Inspiration: A Meditation & Writing Retreat in Colonial Mexico

with Susan Piver
February 7 / 7:30 PM - February 14 / 12:00 PM

What do writers want more than anything in the world? Time to write. Yet even if such precious time can be found, it's not always easy to settle into the writing groove. Meditation can help synchronize mind and body in a way that truly supports the creative process.

Join acclaimed writer Susan Piver for a week-long version of her popular Authentic Inspiration Writers Retreat.

In addition to plenty of personal writing time, a variety of settings to write in and about, quiet, and a chance to explore San Miguel's cultural atmosphere, participants will meet daily to practice meditation, write, reflect, and discuss the creative journey.  And, if you wish, there will be opportunity to share your work in a gently helpful environment.  Group outings are planned and there will be plenty of time for personal sightseeing.

Open to writers of fiction and non-fiction, poetry and song, published and unpublished. Bring your ideas, works-in-progress, or simply your wish to devote attention to your creativity.

About San Miguel

The intrigue of old colonial architecture, beautiful churches, scenic outdoor attractions and a sizable foreign community make San Miguel one of Mexico’s top rated destinations. It offers delightful colorful buildings, myriad shops, strolling musicians, art and culture, fiestas, hot spring pools and is a mecca for the arts. This community of 80,000 offers quietude and tranquility, with no traffic lights. In 2008 SMA became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a distinction that few places in the world can claim.  Perennially on Conde Nast Traveler magazine's list of top 5 cities of the Americas, San Miguel is an oasis of tranquility and safety.
