Sitting meditation begins at 7 o'clock. Book study and discussion begin at 8 o'clock.
We use an "active learning" format where we read a portion of the book then stop and discuss it before moving on. The goal is to learn not only from the book but also from each other and learn from where we are.

Pema Chödrön is the author of When Things Fall Apart. Pema is an American Buddhist nun and one of the foremost students of Chögyam Trungpa. She is the resident teacher at Gampo Abbey, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the first Tibetan monastery in North America established for Westerners.
