Shambhala Day Celebration
February 11 / 7:00 AM - February 11 / 4:00 PM
Shambhala Day marks the beginning of the Tibetan New Year. All are welcome. We are delighted to have the Sakyong joining us again this year! His worldwide address will be well attended here in Halifax, so we have booked Pier 21 for the afternoon.
The Sakyong recently said "We should spend social time with our fellow Shambhalians to share in the 'morning quality' that Shambhala Day brings; the opportunity for a fresh start is very powerful. Each community has its' own flavour, but people should think about celebrations in a way that is exciting for them. The common factor is our lineage, our clan and our shared values."
The schedule for the day will be as follows:

7-8 am Morning sitting in Tiger room, Kalapa Dawn in Main Shrine room (for Werma practitioners only)
8-9:30 am Breakfast offered by the Shambhala Centre

10:20-10:30 am Break
10:30-11 am Elixir of Life
11-1 pm Lunch

Goodness Hour – Social Gathering for the entire Shambhala community & friends at Durty Nelly’s Traditional Irish Pub (5221 Sackville Street): 3:30 pm – 6 pm (cash bar, complimentary snacks, families are welcome!!)
