Shambhala Training Level 1: The Art of Being Human

with Deborah Zarate
October 24 / 7:00 PM - October 25 / 6:00 PM

Through the practice of meditation, we begin to glimpse that goodness—rather than confusion—is the unconditional ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings.

In this 1 1/2 day workshop, students are introduced to the idea of basic goodness and the practice of meditation in a supportive, social environment. The weekend includes meditation practice, discussion, and individual meetings with meditation instructors.

This is the first class in a series of classes.  This class can be taken independently or can be taken as the first in a series of 5 weekend programs.

If you have questions about this course, please contact The Way of Shambhala coordinator, Christopher May, .

$110 full tuition; $130 patron price

Our Generosity Policy: We have a generosity policy to make our offerings available to all who wish to participate. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please consider what works for you, and offer as much of the program fee as you can.

For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “patron price”. Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
