Meditation and the Heart of Recovery: A meditation and 12-step weekend retreat
with Rick Redondo & Dallas Itzen
September 5 / 7:00 PM - September 7 / 5:00 PM
Meditation is a powerful tool for those in 12-step recovery, or anyone seeking better ways to work with destructive habits and difficult emotions. In this beautiful mountain setting and supportive environment, this weekend retreat will explore the View and Practice of meditation, as well as its relationship to the 12-step structure. We will also focus on meditation as a tool for working Steps 2 and 3, and increasing our conscious contact with a Higher Power of our own understanding.
Through group practice, meditation instruction, Heart of Recovery 12-step meetings, lectures and more we will deepen our practice and learn how meditation can help us strengthen our sobriety, mindfulness, and sense of serenity. We welcome anyone recovering from any addiction or compulsion, as well as any meditator interested in the profound spiritual path that recovery offers.
