Full Moon No Clouds: A Monthly Berkeley Shambhala Art Gathering

May 29 / 7:00 PM - May 29 / 9:00 PM

For poets, writers, dancers, musicians, sculptors, painters, filmmakers, photographers, puppeteers, et al., as well as art appreciators and fellow humans.


No experience or artistic talent required.     

$5-10 suggested donation.

Among other elements we will include in our monthly gathering:


  • Discussions on Chogyam Trungpa’s teachings on dharma art, including how dharma art relates to our own creative process, appreciation of art, and general perception of the world

  • Holding the paradox of form and freedom, structure and spontaneity

  • Exploring the relationship of meditation to the creative process

  • Contemplating obstacles to creativity (such as writer’s block) and how we relate to such obstacles as they arise

  • Sharing how and where we find inspiration and how it can lead to creative expression

  • Optional offerings: original exhibitions, performances, presentations

  • Community salons every few months
