Life of the Buddha
with David Sanor
July 14 / 7:00 PM - July 28 / 9:00 PM
This 3-week class surveys the life story of Shakyamuni Buddha, the evolution of the early Buddhist community of practitioners, and the spread of the teachings through various cultures over the past 2500 years.
The life of the Buddha is an example for us of the path to full awakening and is as relevant today as it was 2500 years ago. In this class, we will read about and discuss the Buddha's life and teachings. We will discuss the development of the early sangha and the later spread of Buddhism. We will talk about what the life of the Buddha means for us now as we work towards enlightened society.

Our Generosity Policy
In order to make our programs accessible to everyone, we have a “pay what you can afford” policy. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please decide what works for you and offer whatever you can. To arrange for this, please contact Jackie Snyder firstname.lastname@example.org .
For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “patron price”. Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
