Ikebana is the Japanese art and contemplative practice of flower arrangement. Dating back to the 6th century, Ikebana has been used to help us connect to the present moment as a ‘meditation in action’. Ikebana arrangements are both beautiful and thought-provoking, and practitioners of this ancient discipline experience it as profound, enriching, and deeply satisfying.
The Art of Ikebana retreat will consist of demonstrations and hands-on practice in a small group, under the close guidance of Ikebana master Stéphane Bédard.
Perfect for those who wish to try Ikebana for the first time and seasoned Ikebana students.
For more information on Ikebana or the details of the retreat, please feel free to contact Pamela Rubin by phone at (902) 489-0944 or email at email@example.com
Please note: Participants should bring clippers. Equipment is available. If possible, please bring containers and kenzans (2 inch diameter min.).
Register early! This retreat is limited to 15 participants.
