What is Real? - The Basic Goodness of Reality (6 week course)
with Mark Duggan & Jim Norton
April 8 / 8:00 PM - May 13 / 10:00 PM
In this programme, along with the practice of meditation, we explore the question - How do we know what is real? How might we begin to ask this question in a way that is meaningful for our everyday lives? In this course, we will present a number of views from the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, including interdependence, exploring the display of reality, the role of mind in perception, and the teachings on emptiness and sacredness. There is an emphasis on the sacredness of the elemental, natural ecosystem.
This programme forms part of "The Basic Goodness Series" which is an introduction to the view of Shambhala, taught in an experiential way. The course will be taught jointly by Shastri Mark Duggan and Jim Norton.
Open to all, no pre-requisites.
