Discovering Our True Wealth - A Five-Week Somatic Group
with Charity Martin
March 8 / 10:00 AM - April 26 / 1:00 PM
Through a felt sense of the body, we can be open and sympathetic to our experience. Join us for this 5-week somatic group to cultivate our capacity for embodiment and self-connection.
This group will include embodied meditation practice and instruction. A commitment to attend all or most of the sessions is requested.
In this group we will practice sensing, feeling, and listening to the felt experience of our bodies in the present moment. Through experiential exercises, We will cultivate a deep embodied presence that will allow our inherent capacity for ease and relaxation to take root, and help us to become more available and open with our experience.
As we stay present to our felt or lived experience, we gain new tools and resources to work with our obstacles: the disconnection from ourselves that becomes the source of anxiety, physical and emotional pain, discursive mind, and chronic tension. We learn to be more self- loving and self-connected.
Through this process, our being becomes a source of aliveness and discovery. Our internal division between head and heart, mind and body softens, and we become more integrated: able to experience our world directly, with less self-consciousness and struggle.
This group will give you tools to help you learn to...
- Stop struggling with yourself, and start trusting,
- Get out of your head and into your body,
- Touch into and allow physical and emotional pain and discover the opportunity to learn from it, and
- Be more open to joy, goodness, and resources in your experience
The full class fee is $250, and there is also a discounted rate of $180 for those who cannot offer the full fee. Scholarships are also available and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please refer to our Generosity Policy.
