The Art and Practice of Getting Dressed
with Marcella Friel
March 29 / 10:00 AM - March 29 / 5:30 PM
This daylong class, open to the public, explores the selecting and wearing of clothing as an expression of personal warriorship and enlightened society.
Marcella will introduce participants to fad-proof principles of selecting clothes that transcend the whims of seasonal fashion and create a literacy of personal style.
The day includes meditation practice, lecture, and interactive exercises and will conclude with a clothing clinic. Please bring at least three articles of clothing, jewelry, or accessories from your personal wardrobe that you aren’t sure work on you and that you have questions about. These items should be two years old or newer, clean, and in good repair. They should also be items you are willing to swap with others.
This is not for women only! People of all genders are welcome to attend this event.
Marcella has been a student of the Shambhala teachings since 1987 and a teacher since 1996. She follows the principles of personal style as presented by Suzanne Caygill. Marcella’s coaching practice, Tapping with Marcella, uses Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT, or “tapping”) to help people create healthy relationships to food and body image.
