Yoga at the Shambhala Center

Join Yoga Teacher in Training Nicole Sikula for an all level weekly Hatha Yoga class at the Center before the Tuesday evening sit.  Class is 5:30 pm – 6:35 pm. 

Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga.  Hatha Yoga uses postures and conscious breathing in combination with mental focus to build strength, flexibility, lung capacity, balance and mindfulness.  Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings union of the mind and body, relaxation, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner.

 “Yoga and meditation are a perfect complement,” Nicole described, “The practice of yoga prepares the body for comfortable seated meditation and the practice of meditation prepares the mind to be increasingly aware of the body in yoga postures.” 

This class is open to all levels of yoga students.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.  If you have a “yoga mat” and props, please bring them. Purchasing your own yoga mat is a good idea, so that you have your own hygienic mat that will provide a good base.   A few mats and props are available for use.
