Nyinthun: Day-long Meditation Retreat
with Steve Hoskins & Jesse Brunette
December 28 / 9:00 AM - December 28 / 4:00 PM
Followed by a Meal and a Movie, When the Iron Bird Flies, as part of the Winter Holiday Practice Intensive.
Please join us for an extended period of practice in the company of fellow practitioners. During the day we will examine our meditation practice, engage in several practice sessions, discussion and hear short talks and readings on the topic of the day — “loving kindness and compassion practices” and “relaxing into the state of nowness.” Let’s discover why these practices are necessary to achieve calm abiding.
Spending time on the cushion and contemplating the instructions is the best way to move our practice and insight along the path of meditation, and connect with our inherent basic goodness.
9 – 10:30 AM Practice, talk and reading on the topic of the day
10:30 AM – Noon Tea break and sitting
Noon – 1 PM Lunch (bring in or go out)
1 – 4 PM Practice Sessions and tea break (there will be a talk,
discussion and reading on the topic of the day)
Join us for any or all of the sessions. There is no charge for this event, but donations are kindly accepted.
