Contentment in Everyday Life - Way of Shambhala Class

with Jesse Miller
January 11 / 8:30 AM - January 25 / 12:00 PM

Contentment is hard to find. We usually think contentment is found in things, achievements or experiences. With meditation practice, we find we can relax with ourselves, appreciate simple human experiences and meet the difficult emotions and challenges of life with gentleness, mindfulness and inquisitiveness. We will further explore mindfulness meditation, along with some foundational Buddhist teachings. Cultivating contentment means difficult emotions (“grrrr!”) and the challenges of life (“You’re leaving me?”) can be met with some degree of gentleness, steadiness, and humor.

Jesse Miller will be teaching this program via an internet hookup from California. Jesse Miller is former student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and current student of Sakyong Mipham, a senior teacher and friend to KSMC.
