Shambhala Training: Outrageous and Inscrutable
with Benoît Côté
March 14 / 7:30 PM - March 16 / 7:00 PM
These two fruitional dignities – connected with the garuda and the dragon - refer to the extraordinary skill of a practical warrior. No longer afraid of making mistakes, the unconditional and visionary perspective of the outrageous warrior combines with the skill of spontaneous inscrutability to create benefit for others on a large scale.
This program will be directed by Shastri Benoît Côté.
Benoît Côté has been a student of Shambhala Buddhism for over thirty years. For many years, he was a member and part of the teaching and administrative staff of Centre Shambhala de Montréal. In 2002, he retired from his Université du Québec à Montréal professor position to be involved fully with the Shambhala organization. From 2005 to 2007, he was resident teacher at Karmê Chöling, the Shambhala retreat centre in Vermont. In 2009, he moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and in 2010, was appointed by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche as one the shastris, or senior teachers, assigned to the Halifax Centre. In 2013, he has also been appointed as shastri for Montréal. He also works as editor for Shambhala Media.
