Shambhala Sun Day
June 1 / 10:30 AM - June 1 / 11:30 AM
The Sakyong has said again and again that the core messages of Shambhala are basic goodness and enlightened society. He has also encouraged us to make our offerings "more like life, less like school". Inspired by the this, the Boulder Shambhala Center is pleased to announce a gathering for warriors to connect with basic goodness, and celebrate our society - the Sun Day Assembly.
Everyone is welcome, whether it is your first time in a Shambhala shrine room or whether you have been practicing for years. Please join the community!
Sun Day Assembly takes place on the first Sunday of each month, starting at 10:30 am (doors open at 10:20).
The first part, which will last at most an hour, includes some meditation, some talking, some listening, and even some singing. That will be followed by a social with tea, coffee, food, and good company from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.
Parts of the official activities are geared towards children. Childcare will also be available from 10:20 am until 12:30 pm.
Your involvement, comments, and feedback are most welcome - whether you want to help shape the future direction of the event, suggest a topic for discussion, participate in the ceremony, make flower arrangements, bake cookies, or even just complain about what went wrong.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
