Based on the work of Arawana Hayashi, Embodied Presence involves a set of practices using everyday movement to explore body-mind synchronization and space awareness.
The practices help us remain present and grounded in the body in daily life—even in challenging situations—and experience ourselves as part of the collective social body and earth body.
Slowing down and living fully in the body is a basis for developing healthy habits, cultivating unconditional well-being, opening all the senses, and accessing emotional intelligence and innate creativity.
Led by Joyce Rankin, a student of Arawana Hayashi’s since 2006, each session consists of meditation, 20-minute dance, the ‘Village,’ and a ‘stuck’ exercise or case study.
