Prerequisite: Shambhala Training Level I
Weekend Retreat 2 of the Shambhala Training Series

David Parker is grateful to the patient students of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, including his current teacher, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, who helped a skeptical beginner start a regular meditation practice in Boston 25 years ago, and led him step by step under his own power into a larger view. He has been active in the Portland Shambhala Center since he moved here almost 20 years ago, and is currently a teacher in training, a meditation instructor, and coordinator of the Tuesday night open house talks. He works part time as a scientist and professor at OHSU, where he and his students study how the cells of the immune system communicate with each other using mice and mouse cells in tissue culture.
