Shambhala Day - March 2, 2014

Based on the traditional Tibetan new year's celebration of Losar, the day is calculated astrologically according to the Tibetan lunar calendar and changes every year to coincide with the annual lunar cycles. Shambhala Day is a time for us to express the wealth and richness of our spiritual and cultural heritage through feasting, conviviality, and elegance.
8:15 am Lhasang (juniper smoke offering) for purification of the center
9:00 am Shambhala Sadhana practice (open to the community on this day) Those arriving after 9 am are asked not to enter the shrine room until after this hour-long practice ends.
10:00 am On-line address from Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche to the worldwide Shambhala Community, live from Boulder, Colorado
11:00 or 11:30 am (or so) Oath ceremony for new member and Installation of Open Sky Coordinator
Approx. 12:30 pm Sit-down potluck lunch and festivities
