Sunday Sitting Practice; Nyinthun (All Day Meditation Retreat)
June 29 / 9:00 AM - June 29 / 10:30 AM
We will begin with our regular sitting and walking meditation format from 9 to 10:30 am. Following tea at 10:30 am, we will resume as indicated below.
During the day we will examine our meditation practice and engage in several practice sessions, short talks, discussion and readings on the topic of the day, "Loving Kindness and Compassion Practice" and "Five ways to Meditate."
Spending time on the cushion and contemplating the instructions is the best way to move our practice and insight along the path of meditation and connect with our inherent basic goodness.
Initial meditation instruction will be available at the beginning of the Public Sitting.
9:00 to 10:30 AM - Join regular Sunday Public Sitting (which will include a talk on the topic of the day)
10:30 to 10:45 AM - Tea break
10:45 to 12:00 PM - Sitting
12:00 to 1:00 PM - Lunch (bring in or go out)
1:00 to 4:30 PM - Practice sessions and tea break (there will be a talk, discussion and reading on the topic of the day)
