November 29 / 7:30 PM - November 29 / 9:00 PM
Shambhala Salon provides an opportunity to engage in conversations that matter to you and are relevant to our world in a relaxed and uplifted space (light snacks are provided).
This month we will be sharing one of the oldest forms of human communication – our singing voices
What really makes a good conversation? And what do we enjoy about it?
Join us to explore how connecting with others is not just about words, by sharing our singing voices – and experiencing the difference this can make to our communities and relationships.
The evening will involve simple contemplative voice experiments and the opportunity to learn the beautiful harmonies of ancient Georgian folk chant. No experience of singing necessary. This month’s Shambhala Salon will be led by Ali Warner.
Ali Warner is a meditation student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and the Director of Shambhala London. She sings traditional song and experimental free improvisation, and continues to explore how the expressive voice can strengthen communities.
