Meditation and Discussion: The Shambhala Principle (Ballard)
November 12 / 7:30 PM - December 17 / 9:00 PM
Please join us at Ballard Shambhala on Tuesday evenings as we read from The Shambhala Principle: Discovering Humanity's Hidden Treasure by Sakyong Mipham. No reading is required prior to class; we will read selected passages together and discuss them. There is no requirement to have attended previous meetings. You may attend a single evening or as many as you wish. Everyone is welcome.
- 7:30-8:00 PM: Meditation.
- 8:00-8:15: Contemplation based on a theme selected from that evening's reading by the meditation instructor
- 8:15-8:20: Break for tea
- 8:20-8:45: Reading and discussion based on contemplation
- 8:45-9:00: Clean up
The monthly Open House on November 5th and December 3rd will follow the schedule established previously for our open houses, with extended meditation instruction from 7:30 to 8:15 PM followed by social time until 9:00 PM.
Prerequisites: None, open to everyone.
Suggested Donation: $10 for one evening, or $40 for the 5-week series from November 12th - December 17 (including the Open House on December 3rd).
Location: Soma Yoga Studio (in Ballard), 1423 NW 70th St, Seattle WA.
