Basic Goodness 1: Who am I?
with Bill Hebbert & Deborah Zarate
March 12 / 6:45 PM - April 16 / 9:00 PM
The new Basic Goodness Series is open to everyone! It is an introduction to the view of Shambhala, taught in an experiential way, through three courses. This course, which will use recorded teachings from a senior teacher in the Shambhala community, is the first of the three and asks the question “Who am I?”, focusing on our sense of self. It includes teachings on basic goodness, selflessness, the arising of ego and cocoon, buddha nature, and the confidence of warriorship. We will practice contemplative investigations of the self, based upon the Foundations of Mindfulness.
It is strongly recommended that participants first receive basic meditation instruction before this course. This can be through one of our free open house Tuesday evening, at 7pm, the Meditation or Contentment in Everyday Life courses or a Shambhala Level One.
Price: Full tuition, $110; patron price, $130
Our Generosity Policy: We have a generosity policy to make our offerings available to all who wish to participate. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please consider what works for you, and offer as much of the program fee as you can.
For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a "patron price." Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
