Workfest at Sonoma Mountain Zen Center - Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche Stupa

October 19 / 9:00 AM - October 19 / 5:00 PM

Everyone is invited to Sonoma Mountain Zen Center (SMZC) on Saturday, October 19th to help restore and maintain the stupa of CTR.  It is said that work like this allows the students to make a heart connection with the mind of the teacher.  Everyone who feels a special connection to CTR or would like to help is warmly invited to join a small group who will be participating.  Please do RSVP so SMC can plan for lunch.  A Berkeley area car pool is being arranged-contact Megan for details.

From Erik at Sonoma Mountain Zen Center:  "We are happy to have everyone join us. There is a lot to do, and I can find tasks for everyone. There will be a couple of people working on Trungpa's stupa itself, oiling the wood. Most people will be working on the land around the stupa, or on the road leading to the stupa. This will involve pruning trees and bushes, removing coyote brush, cutting grass, weeding, digging trenches and possibly some regraveling. Certainly, strong backs and knowledge of landscaping tools are good, but there will be enough to do for people of all abilities. Pruning, raking, weeding, etc are good for lighter work.  There will be a mid-morning break and then a lunch break at noon. Food, tea and coffee are all provided.  The spirit of workfest is very friendly and fun. Working together, the tasks get done and the sangha is strengthened."
