Program Details

June 1 / 12:00 PM - June 1 / 1:00 PM

with Lance Corporal Andrew Petrarca

First Sunday of each month

Drill is the walking meditation of the Dorje Kasung.  The Kasung path of meditation in action focuses on taming one's mind in order to serve the community with gentle confidence.

Taking the form of a military march, the simple elegance of drill is a straightforward way to train in the synchronization of mind and body that is central to all Shambhala practices.

We will meet in the Shambhala Center at 12:00 following Sunday Open Meditation, then proceed to nearby Lippitt Park (on the corner of Hope Street and Blackstone Boulevard) for a half hour of drill, rain or shine.

 What you will need:

 - weather-appropriate clothing

 - comfortable walking shoes

 - a quart of water to maintain hydration

Instruction is available for all.  No prerequisites required.

Registration is not necessary.
