Shambhala Meditation Weekthun

Shambhala Meditation was introduced by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche to help us connect more deeply with our inherent worthiness and the experience of basic goodness. Weekthun participants will practice Shambhala Meditation along with sitting meditation. 




The Sakyong has asked that Shambhala Meditation be presented within a particularly strong practice container. For this reason participants are asked to commit to the full retreat. We will not be able to accommodate part-time participation in the Weekthun.***




NOTE: If you are undecided please come on the first day,  December 26th. At the end of the day you can decide if you want to continue.




The Weekthun will include meditation practice, dharma talks and the study of the Shambhala Principle by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.  We'll be practicing silence for most of the retreat and everyone will participate in a short work period. Please plan to bring your lunch and eat together in the Shrine Room.


  


The program counts as one week of a dathun, fulfilling the weekthun requirement for Enlightened Society Assembly and other advanced programs.
