Walk the Walk Live Stream
with Pema Chodron
October 26 / 9:00 AM - October 27 / 3:00 PM
This will be a live streaming presentation of Pema Chodron's Walk the Walk program at Omega Institute at the Shambhala Center. Join us in the Shrine Room to be inspired by Pema's teachings.
Even though we may be able to “talk the talk” about awakening and the spiritual life, the most important point is to be able to “walk the walk” and put the teachings into practice on the spot in good and difficult times.
“There is a saying that the teacher is always with us,” Pema Chödrön says. “The teacher is always showing us precisely where we are at and encouraging us to relax and open our hearts and minds, encouraging us to not speak and act in the same old stuck ways, encouraging us also not to repress or dissociate. The teacher knows that our habitual responses are never going to bring us the happiness we seek.”
In this workshop appropriate for everyone, Pema Chödrön explores some of Buddhism’s most fundamental yet most profound wisdom to show us how to “walk the walk.” The weekend also includes meditation sessions with cofacilitator Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel, retreat master of Samten Ling in Crestone, Colorado.
If you're not able to attend the entire program, you may drop in - $20 per session is the recommended amount for drop-ins.
