Kiatsu Energy Healing Workshop

with Sharon Doetsch-Kidder & Matthew Doetsch-Kidder
November 19 / 7:00 PM - November 19 / 9:00 PM

Suggested donation: $10

Kiatsu Ryoho is a kind of therapy based on connecting with the healing power of ki. Ki, known as qi in Chinese, refers to the energy of the universe. Kiatsu was developed by Koichi Tohei Sensei, who is known around the world as a master of the Japanese martial art of aikido.

Tohei Sensei developed Kiatsu as a way for us to realize the healing power that is naturally ours when mind and body are unified. By connecting with another person through ki, you fill their mind and body with positive energy, accelerating the healing process made possible by the ki of the universe.

This two-hour workshop, designed for people with an established meditation practice, will focus on:

Mind and body coordination: Finding natural posture and relaxation to encourage mental and physical calmness and stability

Kiatsu principles: How to use ki to release tension and aid minor physical injuries

*Please wear comfortable clothing and clean socks.*

“When a water pump is dried out, no water can flow from the well up through the pump. To start this flow again we must put some water back into the pump. In the same way, Ki does not flow strongly in a person suffering from illness or misfortune. Let us practice Kiatsu to put Ki back into these people, stimulate their own flow of Ki, and give them a fresh start to happiness."
