Public Talk: Living, Dying and the Path of Meditation

with Richard John
November 22 / 7:00 PM - November 22 / 9:00 PM

Our Center is fortunate to be hosting visiting senior Shambhala teacher, Acharya Richard John.

This is a standalone public talk. The cycle of life and death is the most basic expression of reality. We know our lives are temporary, yet in our culture we find ways to avoid this inconvenient truth until the last minute. The Buddha taught that impermanence is the fundamental fact of life, and that meditation is the most powerful and direct method to come to terms with our fear of nonexistence.

There is also a weekend program with Acharya Richard John called Living, Dying and the Path of Meditation: A Buddhist Perspective on the Cycle of Life and Death. Visit this page for more information about the weekend program or if you have questions, please contact Celia Brunette at
