Mindful Beginnings - Mindfulness Classes for Children

Children who practice mindfulness have shown greater abilities to pay attention, calm themselves down, and be more compassionate to themselves and others. In this 5 week course, young people will practice paying attention to their breath, body, thoughts, feelings, and the world around them. This class will be taught in an interactive way using storytelling, movement, mindful eating, short breath and body awareness practices, and discussion. Activities are taught in an environment that emphasizes friendliness to all. A healthy snack is included in each class.
