Shambhala Level One: The Art of Being Human

Meditation is an activity that can help to strengthen, calm and stabilize the mind - essential first steps in accomplishing nearly any goal. Through meditation, we can learn to actually use our mind, rather than be used by it. As we relax and allow our peaceful nature to awaken, we develop a deep confidence and trust in ourselves. As this happens, we awaken our fundamental human nature of basic goodness.
The White River Shambhala Center will be offering Level One, the Art of Being Human, on October 5th and 6th. This program is the first step in making meditation a regular part of your everyday life. During this weekend you will deepen your meditation practice through focused shamatha sitting practice, group discussion, one-on-one meditation instruction and talks by the director.
