Shambhala Salon: Wakeful Living

October 25 / 7:30 PM - October 25 / 9:00 PM

Shambhala Salon provides an opportunity to engage in conversations that matter to you and are relevant to our world in a relaxed and uplifted space (light snacks are provided). This month's theme is wakeful living and the evening will be led by Tessa Watt.

Tessa Watt has been practicing meditation for 20 years and is a teacher at the London Shambhala Meditation Centre. Tessa is co-director of Being Mindful, an organization which offers mindfulness training for the public and in workplaces. She is the author of Mindfulness - A Practical Guide (Icon, 2012) and presenter of Be Mindful Online, the Mental Health Foundation's online mindfulness course.  In her earlier career she was a research fellow in history at Cambridge University, and then for many years a senior producer in BBC Radio and Music. Tessa was the director of Awake in the World: a festival of meditation, arts and social vision,  hosted by Shambhala at the University of London in September 2013.
