Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human
March 22 / 8:30 AM - March 23 / 2:00 PM
Through the practice of meditation, we begin to glimpse the reality that goodness rather than confusion is the unconditional ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings. This program includes meditation instruction with periods of sitting and walking practice, formal talks, collaborative group discussions and individual meetings with a meditation instructor.
Based on ancient teachings that were brought to the West by Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Shambhala Training weekends offer a way of living in the world with confidence, genuineness and creative expression based on the inherent wisdom that exists in every person. Attendees receive clear and precise methods for uplifting their personal experience and relationships with others.
There is an early registration rate of $150 instead of $190 if you register AND PAY by March 8th. $190 is our base or sustainable rate; those who can are warmly invited to pay that or our patron rate of $250 to help us to fund scholarships for those who cannot pay the full price.
