Shambhala Training Level II: Birth of the Warrior

with Charity Martin
January 11 / 8:30 AM - January 12 / 6:00 PM

Prerequisite: Level I Shambhala Training

Having experienced a taste of basic goodness, we want to go forward. Meditation practice allows us to observe how we create a cocoon of habits to mask our fear. We begin to appreciate that there is no fundamental obstacle to experiencing basic goodness.

Based on ancient teachings that were brought to the West by Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Shambhala Training offers a way of living in the world with confidence, genuineness and creative expression based on the inherent wisdom that exists in every person.  Shambhala training offers clear and precise methods for uplifting our personal experience and that of others. This Saturday & Sunday program from 8:30-6:30 includes meditation instruction with periods of sitting and walking practice, formal talks, group discussion and personal interviews. If you register and pay by Jan 4 you may pay only $150 instead of $190.  We also offer a patron rate of $250 to help fund scholarships for those who cannot afford to pay the full fee.  (Please note that the cost to repeat a level is $90, and select the "student/discount" amount. For sponsors (thank you!!!) please select the amount next to "repeat a level".)

The companion class to Level II is Contentment in Everyday Life.
