In this weekend retreat, participants will join the five wisdom energies as taught by the ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition with artistic and creative process. Through mindfulness meditation, Maitri Space Awareness practice, art exercises and group discussion, we will explore more fully the broad palette of direct experience. The goal is to hold a heightened perceptual state in contemplative practice and while making art. No art experience is necessary – both new and seasoned “artists” will benefit from this training in Maitri and the arts. Basic art materials will be provided. You may also bring “easy to clean up” art materials of your choice. Participants will have the opportunity to practice in the Maitri rooms as a part of this retreat.
