Heart Advice for Creating Enlightened Society

The Six Ways of Ruling are unique teachings on society and leadership. They are a distinctive aspect of Shambhala  wisdom on creating enlightened society. They were first taught by the Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and then made public by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in his book, Ruling Your World.

The Sakyong has asked the President of Shambhala, Richard Reoch, to ensure that members of our community become familiar with these teachings, and incorporate their insight and practical advice into our lives and work – and into working together to develop Shambhala culture.

RICHARD REOCH is the president of Shambhala International. Born into a Buddhist family in Canada, he has devoted his working life to defending human rights, protecting the environment and promoting peace. Formerly global media chief of Amnesty International, Richard is a trustee of the Rainforest Foundation, and he heads the International Working Group on Sri Lanka, dedicated to ending one of the Buddhist World's longest running conflicts.

The program consists of on-line talks by Richard Reoch, with facilitated contemplations and practical exercises, formal and informal discussions, led by Shastri Myra Woodruff
