Autumn Equinox—Harvest of Peace Celebration
September 21, 2013
Phoenix Shambhala Meditation Center
1202 E Maryland Avenue, Suite G, 2nd Floor, Phoenix AZ 85014
The season in fact is changing, even if it will take a little longer to cool down in Arizona than elsewhere! Join us for the annual fall celebration of our Shambhala community and heritage. Everyone is welcome for our day of festivities—friends and family, new members and folks who have been around awhile. There is no cost for participation.
Harvest of Peace Teaching by Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche
A video address for this special occasion by the leader of Shambhala. The morning will begin with open sitting and conclude with a discussion following the Sakyong’s talk.
“Harvest of Food” Potluck
Always a standout at Phoenix Shambhala events. Sign up to bring a dish or beverage. A sheet with suggested food and drink offerings will be posted at the center, or contact Jane Ferguson at firstname.lastname@example.org about your desired potluck contribution.
“Harvest of Fun” Open Mic
Everyone has something to add to our fun afternoon—a story or poem, a song or musical offering, a photograph or painting. Whatever is special to you, we would love to hear, see and experience. Contact emcee Chris Power at email@example.com to get a slot on the program. The day concludes with a celebration—desserts, goodies, special beverages and toasts.
