Meditation in Everyday Life

Have you ever been curious about meditation? Or wished you could meditate more regularly?


Designed for people living in the modern world, Meditation in Everyday Life provides students with introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in their speedy lives. By deepening our experience and understanding of ourselves through peaceful abiding meditation, we more fully become who we already are with our innate stability, strength, and clarity.


This one-day class will be taught by Bill Bothwell.  It will include periods of guided meditation, talks and discussion of the challenges meditators face in meditation practice.


Everyone is welcome!  Suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators, and open to people of any spiritual tradition.  Meditation cushions and chairs are provided.  No pre-requisites.  Please note!  We can only offer this class if we have a minimum of 10 registered participants.  So if you want to take the class, please register today.


Bill Bothwell is a senior student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.  Bill is an accomplished lawyer and musician, and father to three young adults. He has studied and practiced the Shambhala and Buddhist teachings for over 35 years and has taught Shambhala Training levels for over 20 years.


Meditation in Everyday Life is the first course in our program The Way of Shambhala.


When:  9 AM – 5 PM, Saturday, October 5, 2013  (We’ll break for lunch from 12:30- 2PM.  Social hour and refreshments at 5.)


Where:  Shambhala Meditation Center of San Diego, 3139 University Avenue (North Park) – Our entrance is in the back of the Art Produce Building, Enter through the gate on Herman Avenue, south of University.
