Nyinthun ~ Day of Meditation

August 10 / 9:00 AM - August 10 / 5:00 PM wake up from the dream of bewilderment and suffering, we first need to sit still and take a deep breath. Meditation is that deep breath, a way to strip away the chaos of bewilderment and find some basic sanity... with this healthy sense of self we can look more deeply into the meaning of our being.

- Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sit in meditation for a full day? Or even for just an afternoon? Meditators at all levels are encouraged to attend, even if this is your first or second time.

An all-day retreat is best experienced in its entirety, but people are free to arrive and leave at any time. Taking the time to sit in meditation for a full day is a powerful gift—to yourself, to your family, and to your community. Come rest in peaceful abiding.

Treat yourself to a day on the cushion! You are welcome to participate for all or any part of the day.  (We will break for lunch from Noon to 2:00 pm.)

Periods of sitting will be interspersed with walking medition.

We will observe contemplative silence as much as possible, and engage in functional talking if necessary.

It is a wonderful way to practice deeply, investigate your mind and infuse your life with gratitude and gentleness.

We hope to see you there.
