Community Gathering and Harvest of Peace Celebration.
with Andrée Lapierre
September 21 / 10:00 AM - September 21 / 3:00 PM
A happy ‘back-to-everything’ to all!
Please make a note in your agenda to join us at the Center on September 21 for a Community Meeting starting at 10 a.m.
The effervescence of the last few months has infused our sangha with a new energy. New neighborhood, new premises, new programs and, of course, new members and a culture of loving kindness to welcome them. We have lots to talk about! How is our community doing? How are our finances? What are our priorities and our strategies for realizing them? These questions and more will be open for discussion in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
As the 21 is the autumn equinox, we will also celebrate the Harvest of Peace, one of four official Shambhala holidays marking the change of seasons. A festive pot-luck lunch buffet will follow the meeting and you are cheerfully invited to bring a dish that celebrates the bounty of harvest time.
Kindly let Manon Langlois know what you plan to bring: firstname.lastname@example.org
At the end of the afternoon, the festivities will continue as our own Veena Gokhale reads from her recently -published collection of short stories entitled Bombay Wali (Woman of Bombay). All sangha members are cordially invited to share poetry, sing, dance or any offering ripe for the occasion!
Your presence will be much appreciated and we look forward to seeing you!
