Wisdom in Everyday Life

Meditation sharpens our intelligence and uncovers our wisdom.  Students will receive practical instructions for transforming confused emotions and situations into effective actions as they arise.  No longer deterred or depressed by obstacles, we can include everything as part of the path.  The challenges of daily life become opportunities for both contemplative practice and social action.

This program is open to all graduates of Fearlessness in Everyday Life or Shambhala Training level 5.  It is a pre-requisite for attending Rigden Weekend.

This class will be taught by Marcy Fink.   Marcy Henry-Fink has been a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipam Rinpoche since 1977. As a member of the Buddhist and Interfaith Councils she worked for many years with the diverse religious communities in Los Angeles. Trained in both the sciences and the arts, she has been a stress management consultant for Boeing, and has worked with a start-up company that uses biofeedback and mindfulness/awareness exercises as tools for dealing with stress. She served for 10 years as Resident Director of Shambhala Training in Los Angeles.  As a senior teacher she travels frequently to teach.  She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons, who have all been involved in the dharma.
