The program, co-sponsored by the Hyde Park Shambhala Meditation Group, will be held on the lower level, in the Uncommon Room at Rockefeller Chapel.
Michaela Haas, author of Dakini Power, will present the life stories of some of the most accomplished female Buddhist teachers in the West with an engaging slide show. Stories of courage, wisdom, and determination. Michaela is an author, lecturer and consultant, who has practiced Buddhism for almost 20 years. She traveled around the world to seek out the biographies of the most inspiring female meditators.
Michaela Haas is a reporter, lecturer, and media consultant who has been studying and practicing Buddhism for about 20 years. She teaches Buddhist studies at U of California Santa Barbara and sits on the US board of Lotus Outreach International.
